Job Opportunity - General Surgeon - Oregon
Start Date: July 2025 (as soon as credentialed)
Location: Eastern Oregon
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. clinic hours with OR block time Tuesday through Friday. Includes 24-hour call coverage seven days per week. Work rotations typically follow a 7-10 block schedule over the course of one year.
Highlights:
- Balanced mix of clinic and surgical practice: approximately 500 surgeries annually, 75% outpatient
- Monday clinic days see 14-16 patients; Tuesday and Thursday afternoons see 10-12 patients
- OR block time Tuesday through Friday mornings, with full Wednesday and Friday afternoon blocks
- EMR: Meditech in hospital, eCW in clinic
- Comprehensive support staff in hospital and clinic settings
- Contract length up to one year with collegial coverage rotation among two to three surgeons
Requirements:
- Board Certified in General Surgery
- Active or in-process Oregon state medical license
- Completion of General Surgery Residency
- Current ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications
- Clean malpractice history highly preferred
- Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (dated within 30 days)
- Must be willing and able to work in both clinic and hospital settings
