Job Opportunity - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - North Carolina
Start Date: Late 2024
Location: Greater Charlotte Region, North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: 24-hour shifts with daily rounds in-house and call from home; average daily census of approximately 5 newborns in a Level I nursery with an anticipated 600 deliveries annually
Highlights:
- Leadership role in a brand new, state-of-the-art 10-bed LDRP Level I Nursery opening late 2024
- Collaborative team of 4 NNPs with support from adjacent Level III NICU team including 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs
- Responsibilities include daily newborn rounds, attending deliveries when requested, and stabilizing/facilitating transport for higher-level care
- Optional PRN shifts available at nearby Level III NICU for additional experience
- Conveniently located 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from major international airport
- Award-winning health system recognized as a Top 100 Hospital
Requirements:
- Master's Degree or Doctorate in Nursing
- Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP certification only)
- Minimum 2+ years of current employment experience as an NNP (excluding RN experience)
- Current or willingness to obtain North Carolina APRN license
- DEA license (must be obtained prior to start date)
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days)
