Job Opportunity - Hospitalist Physician (MD/DO) - Southeastern Vermont
Start Date: Not specified
Location: Southeastern Vermont
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time position with rotating call schedule and rotating weekends (0700-1900 when scheduled)
Highlights:
- Join a 61-bed not-for-profit community hospital serving a rural population across Vermont, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts
- No procedures required - focus on comprehensive inpatient medicine
- Collaborative team environment with specialty backup including surgeons, respiratory therapy, and Emergency Medicine physicians
- Provide direct medical care including admissions, daily rounding, discharges, and ventilator management
- Participate in codes, rapid response situations, and interdisciplinary clinical rounds
- Comprehensive benefits including CME allowance, paid CME time, malpractice coverage, and retirement plan with employer contribution
Requirements:
- MD or DO from accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Active Vermont Medical License
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start)
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Ventilator management experience and experience running codes
- 2-3 years Hospitalist experience highly preferred
- Rural health experience highly preferred
- Clean malpractice history
- J1 visa sponsorship available (J1 candidates only)
- Must reside within one hour of facility
