Job Opportunity - Maternal Fetal Medicine - Virginia
Start Date: May 2025 (multiple start dates available)
Location: Central Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Office and inpatient coverage with call responsibilities on weekdays and weekends. Average of 27 scheduled patients per day. Two-provider service model with APP support.
Highlights:
- High-acuity practice with 95% high-risk pregnancy cases and 5% low-risk
- Level III nursery facility with onsite ultrasound (GE 10 equipment)
- Collaborative team including clinic educator RN, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office support
- EPIC and Viewpoint EMR systems
- 3 exam rooms with dedicated support from a rotating Nurse Practitioner
- Locum support role during recruitment period with flexible coverage dates
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine (required)
- Fellowship training (required)
- VA state license (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- AIUM Certification (preferred)
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation (required)
- Proficiency in amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, cerclage (preferred), and management of high-risk conditions including pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, chromosomal and congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, genetic disorders, and maternal/fetal co-morbidities
