Job Opportunity - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Virginia
Start Date: June 1, 2026
Location: Central Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available to qualified applicants
Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week or three 12-13 hour shifts plus one rotating Saturday per month; no call required; weekly availability expected
Highlights:
- Practice at a prestigious Level 1 trauma center with a 600-bed capacity
- Join a robust anesthesia team including 60 CRNAs, 70 attending anesthesiologists, and 60 residents
- Coverage includes 33 main ORs, 16 offsite anesthesia locations, 12 outpatient surgery ORs, and 3-4 GI center rooms
- Epic EMR system for streamlined documentation
- 13-week contract with options to extend; flexible practice locations including main OR, outpatient surgery center, and endoscopy center
- All time off requests must be submitted upfront; no extended time off approved during summer months
Requirements:
- Active Virginia CRNA license
- Board certification required
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience; academic background and Level 1 or 2 trauma experience strongly preferred
- Full scope of CRNA practice skills (excludes open heart/thoracic, pediatrics, obstetrics, and peripheral nerve blocks)
- ACLS and BLS certifications valid and completed through AHA
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions available)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
- Two full professional references required with submission
- Minimum 30-day credentialing timeframe
