Job Opportunity - Anesthesiologist with Critical Care Fellowship - Michigan
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Jackson, Michigan - Level 2 Trauma Center
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Full-time position with 8-12 weeks per year dedicated to Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) service, including home call coverage. Remaining weeks provide comprehensive anesthesia services in the operating room including general, obstetric, and healthy pediatric cases. OR call duties shared proportionally based on ICU coverage. Weekend rotation aligned with ICU and OR schedule needs.
Highlights:
- Dual-role position combining critical care and anesthesia services at a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Oversee and collaborate with a growing team of Advanced Practice Providers managing complex post-operative patients including cardiac surgery, major vascular procedures, and TAVR recoveries
- Work with an experienced, multidisciplinary team in a collaborative and innovative department focused on clinical excellence and patient safety
- Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities with residents and APPs, including participation in protocol development and care coordination
- Epic EMR system utilized for seamless patient documentation and integrated care

Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (must become Board Certified within 2 years if Board Eligible)
- Fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine required
- Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
- DEA and CSR/CDS registration (must be obtained prior to start)
- Current COVID and flu vaccinations required
- Clean malpractice and license history with current NPDB Self Query Report
- Available to start immediately; not open to locum arrangements or long-distance commuting
